 Red Leicester cheese is an English cheese, produced in Leicestershire. It is an uncooked pressed cow's milk cheese, with a firm and homogeneous texture and a fruity taste reminiscent of Cheddar and Gouda. It is traditionaly coloured orange, and can only be orange. The aging lasts between three and nine months. It is a wheel with a 45 cm diameter and a 15 cm height. It weighs between 20 and 25 kg.
