Maytag Blue is a blue-veined cheese, made by a family cheese dairy (Maytag Dairy Farm). It was created in 1941 in Newton, Iowa. Maytag Blue is produced using raw cow’s milk from the Holstein breed of cow. It has a flavour which can either be piquant or mild, and today, is considered as one of the jewels of American cheese production.
